Essential Flower Care

Hello Friends,

From our studio to your home, we’re excited to share some of our favorite flower care tips. These simple practices will help your blooms stay fresh and vibrant for as long as possible. We hope these insights make your floral arrangements even more enjoyable. Here’s how to care for your flowers:

  • Change the Water Regularly**: Replace the water every 1-2 days with fresh, cool water to keep stems hydrated and prevent bacteria growth.
  • Trim the Stems**: Recut the flower stems at a 45-degree angle under water to help them absorb water more effectively and prevent air bubbles.
  • Use Flower Food**: If provided, add flower food to the water to supply essential nutrients and prevent bacterial growth.
  • Keep Flowers Cool**: Display flowers in a cool area away from direct sunlight, heat sources, or drafts to prevent wilting.
  • Remove Foliage Below Water Level**: Ensure no leaves are submerged in the water, as this can cause bacterial growth.
  • Maintain Clean Vases**: Regularly clean the vase with hot, soapy water to eliminate any bacteria or residues.
  • Avoid Ethylene Gas**: Keep flowers away from fruit and vegetables, as they produce ethylene gas that can cause flowers to age faster.
  • Prune Wilted Flowers**: Remove any wilted or dead flowers to prevent them from affecting the rest of the bouquet.

When you receive your beautiful floral arrangement, remember that the heads of the flowers are very delicate. Touching them can transfer oils from your hands, which might bruise the petals and shorten their lifespan. To keep them looking their best, it's best to handle the stems rather than the blooms.

We hope you enjoy your flowers and that these tips help keep them looking their best. Remember, handling the stems instead of the blooms will preserve their beauty for longer.

Thank you for choosing us to be a part of your special moments. We look forward to sharing more flower care tips with you soon, so don't forget to check back for our next blog!

Take care and happy arranging!
