I would explore meadows with my mother, wander through my father’s garden, and marvel at the natural beauty surrounding us. I enjoyed picking grass, wheat, persimmons, and figs, and was especially captivated by the blossoms growing on the mountainsides by the Adriatic Sea. It was in Croatia that my passion for flowers truly took root. My father, a master gardener, taught me everything about nurturing plants. His touch made everything flourish, and I became fascinated with the small, beautiful things that grew around us.
